Ultra High Performance Concrete Sound Barriers
Sound barriers are mainly used for sound insulation and noise reduction of highways, highways, elevated composite roads and other noise sources. It is divided into a reflective sound barrier with pure sound insulation, and a composite sound barrier with a combination of sound absorption and sound insulation. The latter is a more effective sound insulation method. Refers to the wall-type structures installed beside railways and highways to reduce the impact of traffic noise on nearby residents. Soundproof walls are also known as sound barriers. A facility is inserted between the sound source and the receiver, so that the sound wave propagation has a significant additional attenuation, thereby reducing the impact of noise in a certain area where the receiver is located. Such a facility is called a sound barrier. Divided into traffic noise barriers, equipment noise reduction noise barriers, industrial noise barriers, highways and highways are the places where the most types of sound barriers are used.

Compared with existing sound barriers, ultra-high-strength concrete sound barriers have the following four technical advantages:
(1) Integrated connection technology
The existing bridge shutter is cancelled, and the integrated connection with the bridge deck is realized.
(2) Maintenance technology with less work
It completely abandons the existing connection method of the sound barrier by U-bolts, reducing or even eliminating the risk of public maintenance and repair work and safety.
(3) Using long-life technology
The sound barrier unit made of high-performance, high-strength, high-toughness reactive powder concrete (RPC) meets the goal of long service life.
(4) Efficient absorption and sound insulation technology
The use of sound-absorbing panels with sharp wedges, cavities and new materials meets the goal of significant noise reduction.
Installation of High Strength Concrete Sound Barrier
(1) When the ultra-high-strength concrete sound barrier is suitable for box girder, it should be installed at the bridge railing.
Choose the appropriate hoisting equipment according to the hoisting height and span.
After the welded steel bars on the rib columns are bound and welded with the embedded steel bars of the bridge vertical wall (A), concrete is poured on site to integrate the sound barrier with the bridge vertical wall.
Ultra-high-strength concrete sound barriers should be completed before the catenary is energized.
(2) When the ultra-high-strength concrete sound barrier is applied to the roadbed, it shall be set on the outside of the road shoulder.
The foundation of the sound barrier is made of reinforced concrete mechanically bored piles with ground beams on top of the piles. During the construction of the pile foundation, mechanical bored piles or artificial digging piles should be used, and then the cable trough should be installed, and finally the damaged subgrade surface should be restored. The existing drainage facilities of the subgrade shall not be damaged during construction. The sound barrier rib column, high-strength back panel, and sound-absorbing panel are prefabricated in the factory, and then assembled into a unit and connected to the ground beam by cast-in-place.
The construction of the sound barrier foundation should be done after the subgrade body is formed and before the track laying and cable trough construction; the installation of the upper structure of the sound barrier should be completed before the catenary is energized.
